5. Work From Home Guidelines
5.1. Remote Work Permissions
- Obtain written permission from office management.
- Remote work is not permitted for new employees or those in their probationary period.
- Same-day WFH requests are not allowed and will be treated as leave.
- Submit WFH requests at least 2 days in advance.
- Work remotely for up to 3 consecutive days with prior approval.
- Report any technical issues to IT immediately.
- Remote work eligibility is subject to periodic performance evaluations.
- Communicate any schedule changes to supervisors in advance.
5.2. Rules to Follow
5.2.1. Work Hours and Availability
- Adhere to regular office hours while working from home, with any adjustments requiring supervisor approval.
- Begin work promptly; any delay over 30 minutes will be considered a late arrival.
- Update supervisors on task progress at agreed-upon intervals.
- Breaks follow the regular office policy and require prior communication.
5.2.2. Communication Standards
- Maintain open, prompt communication and respond to emails, messages, and calls within one hour.
- Participate in two mandatory daily video calls for check-ins and task alignment.
- Attend all scheduled meetings and notify team members if unable to attend.
- Meet deadlines and proactively inform supervisors of any challenges or delays.
- Use company-provided resources solely for work tasks and ensure data confidentiality.
- Submit daily progress updates summarizing tasks completed and pending work.
- Track and log work hours and submit as part of the end-of-day report.
5.2.4. Workspace and Technical Requirements
- Maintain a professional and distraction-free workspace at home.
- Ensure an uninterrupted internet connection and power backup (e.g., UPS) to prevent disruptions.
- Set up all required company equipment securely and maintain cybersecurity protocols.
- Be prepared for virtual inspections of the workspace if requested by management.
- Work performance is evaluated based on metrics set in collaboration with supervisors.
- Eligibility for continued WFH depends on consistent productivity and goal achievement.
- Supervisors will conduct bi-weekly reviews to provide feedback and address issues.
- Non-compliance or missed deadlines will lead to warnings and possible WFH privilege revocation.
5.2.6. Attendance and Office Visits
- Employees working remotely must report to the office at least twice per week.
- Punctuality and regular attendance are mandatory; inform supervisors of any schedule changes.
5.2.7. Monitoring and Reporting
- Screen Monitoring: For specific roles, screen activity may be monitored for productivity.
- Hourly Updates: Submit brief progress updates to supervisors on an hourly basis if requested.
- Daily Summary: Submit a detailed daily report covering hours worked, tasks completed, and any pending work.
- Immediate Reporting: Notify supervisors and IT of any technical or work-related issues promptly.
5.3. Policy Violations
- Violations of WFH policies will lead to disciplinary action, including verbal or written warnings.
- Repeated violations may result in the revocation of WFH privileges.
