4. Employment Roster
4.1. Office Working Hours
All employees are required to complete 9 hours a day, including a one-hour lunch and prayer break. The standard workweek
is Forty Five (45)
hours, and Saturday and Sunday are designated as Off Days
.
The company operates from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM, during which the Admin Department provides necessary services for smooth
operations. Employees are expected to work for nine (9)
hours a day within this time window.
Subject to work requirements, employees may be asked to observe specific timings. Given the nature of software development, flexibility towards working hours is expected. Once agreed, changes to working hours require approval from Management.
Employees should notify their supervisor in advance if they plan to arrive later than 10 a.m (or one hour)
.
Notification is also required for any anticipated late arrival of more than an hour after the pre-approved start time.
If the supervisor is unavailable, the authorized backup or office manager must be informed.
4.1.1 Late Arrival
If an employee anticipates being late by 30 minutes, they must notify before the start of their designated shift. Unnotified late arrivals exceeding the allocated 30-minute grace period will be marked as "LATE" for that day, resulting in half a day being deducted from their leave balance. Two half-days of unnotified late arrivals will be equivalent to one full day of leave.
4.1.2 Frequency and Penalty of Late Arrival
Any team member with more than four late arrivals within a single month will incur a penalty fine for each late arrival beyond the initial four, inclusive of the first four.
Frequent late arrivals or working unusual hours without firm permission may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal. In such cases, the employee may be held liable for any damages caused to the company.
While late or extended office hours are allowed for work-related purposes, employees should inform and obtain approval from their supervisor. When working longer hours, the supervisor must communicate the extended hours to operational personnel.
Check Section 6.4 of the handbook for compensation details related to overtime work.
Usage of backup power supply and air conditioning during pre-approved extended hours is permitted.
4.1.3 Appraisal and Performance Evaluation
If an employee's average daily working hours fall below 9 hours, it will impact their performance appraisal and bonuses. Consistent attendance and adherence to the 9-hour shift schedule are essential for maintaining high standards of productivity and contributing positively to the team's goals and objectives.
4.2. Time-In and Time-Out
Employees are required to mark TIME-IN and TIME-OUT daily using the biometric scanner and their thumb impression. Failure to mark attendance will be considered as “Absent from Office".
4.3. Lunch Prayer Break
Employees are allowed a one-hour break for lunch and prayer during working hours. Lunch breaks, scheduled
between 1:30 PM
to 2:30 PM
, follow a staggered schedule approved by management to ensure continuous operations.
For those with office timings at 11:00 PM
or 12:00 AM
, lunch breaks are scheduled between 5:30 PM
TO 6:30 PM
.
4.4. Attendance/Punctuality
Regular and punctual attendance is expected from all employees. This includes being in the office, ready to work, at
their starting time each day. In case of inability to report for work, employees must notify placement executives
before 9:00 AM
of that day. Late arrivals require notification at least two hours prior to duty.
4.5. Absence from Work
Employees must notify the company of their absence from work. This ensures temporary coverage of duties and allows other
employees to continue work in their absence. Failure to do so will result in automatic marking as ABSENT
, leading to
salary deduction for the absent day.
If an employee becomes ill while at work or must leave before the end of the workday, they are responsible for informing their line manager and HR Department.
