9. IT Support Policies
9.1. Internet User Guidelines
Users accessing AALA IT Solutions' local internet and electronic services must adhere to ethical, legal, and considerate usage. Prohibited activities include:
- Using internet workstations for illegal purposes.
- Damaging or destroying company equipment, software, or data, including unauthorized file manipulation on provided workstations and other company devices.
- Violating computer system or network integrity, including attempting to bypass security functions, obtain passwords, or alter network configurations.
9.2. Internet Usage Policy
- Chat services, excluding Skype, Slack and Mattermost for direct communication with offices/customers, are not allowed.
- Mass emailing to company employees is prohibited; contact MIS or your Line Manager for approval.
- Live audio/video streaming sites are restricted without managerial approval.
- Social communities like Facebook, Orkut, H5, or LinkedIn are not allowed without managerial approval.
- Installation or use of VOIP-based applications is prohibited; only Skype, Slack, Google Meet, and Mattermost are allowed for voice communication.
- For downloads exceeding 100MB for work purposes, contact the MIS – Support department to schedule. Failure to do so may affect internet bandwidth and impact colleagues.
9.3. Confidentiality of Use
Transaction logs and information identifying a user with specific data are managed by administrators. They reserve the right to monitor/report activities to maintain the security and usability of internet workstations and connected systems.
9.4. Restrictions on Personal Belongings
- Personal items like USB flash drives, portable drives, mobile data cables, memory card readers, and bags cannot be used with company-provided workstations/laptops.
- Personal laptops or electronic devices should not connect to the company network.
- Employees cannot bring personal laptops to use on work desks.
- Office equipment, such as laptops or mobile devices, cannot be taken home.
